The ICO is the national organisation for the development and support of independent film exhibition in the UK. We bring the widest range of film to the widest range of audiences.

We work in association with independent cinemas, film festivals, film societies and industry support organisations.

Our main activities are:

- Providing a programming advice and bookings service 

- Training in topics such as programming, marketing and audience development for professionals working in independent cinemas and film festivals

- Distributing films and touring programmes of films that would not otherwise get a national release in the UK 

- Supporting the exhibition of artists' moving image in cinemas

- Offering a consultancy service.

Cultural Cinema Exhibition

 

This course has been running in the UK for eleven years and is now open to participants from across Europe. It offers the opportunity for staff of film festivals and cinemas to develop their skills, knowledge and understanding of the business of film programming. The course is taught by a wide range of experts from across Europe working at the forefront of the film industry.

    How much does it cost?

     

    €725 for fees only / €1,704 including 13 nights’ accommodation. Scholarships are available if you or your organisation cannot cover the cost.
