Upgrade of fest21 platform

We are upgrading the Fest21 platform. It should be done between Wednesday and Thursday. We will have to close the site for database maintenance. We hope to keep downtime as limited as possible. Sorry for the inconvenience.

The new platform will be a needed first step to develop many additional services in the coming months... Stay tuned.

Fest21 Server Problem

As we were reorganising our servers to have full redundancy of all services (web, images, database...), the main disk drive crashed. We replaced it and, as an additional problem, we realized that the latest daily backups contained errors and were unusable. We had to rely on the last weekly backup and restored it dated from February 7. At this stage, we lost one week of data. We are trying to recover data lost on the crashed drive but it is without guaranty at this stage.

Major video problem at our video platform host

We are experiencing video problems on the site due to our video platform partner. They migrated their servers to a new location and are experiencing severe difficulties. Sorry for the inconvenience, we hope to be back quickly.

All October posts have been deleted and recovered today, October 18th. Sorry for the mistake. We are still in beta :) but making progress.

We are currently working on video upload. Should be ready soon.

We implemented it for our accounts and are helping the firsts beta test accounts to upload their videos. Soon, each member will have a free 500 MB video space (around one hour of video). Direct upload will be available from all kind of sources, from video files (Mpeg, Windows Media, Quicktime), webcam...

Fest21.com started here in Cannes on May 17th 2006 with a booth in the Palais (01 - 24.07).

With various promotions in Moving Pictures Magazine, the Cannes Market Guide, flyers, and more.

And a column in the middle of the central way through the Palais.

Fest21.com unreachable for a few hours due to our dns registrar

Sorry for the inconvenience, fest21 has been unreachable for a few hours. Our dns registrar server was down and did not allow tens of thousands of web site to be accessible. Fortunately, they solved the problem quickly.
