KYIV INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL MOLODIST - Ukraine's biggest cinema (and cultural) event, a major international film festival in the region of Central and Eatern Europe and one of the world's main forums for student and debut films - will be held for the 38th time between October 18 and 26, 2008
Film submission for this year's edition has been closed on July 1 and will be re-opened shortly after the festival for 2009 39th Molodist.
Guest and Press accreditation is open online at the festival's web www.molodist.com/en/ (upper menu>services>accreditations)
Ongoing until August 15 are two festival-related competitions:

Less than a week left to submit projects for Molodist FilmBoat Meeting
With Kyiv IFF Molodist quickly approaching - yet bigger and more influential each time - General director Maksim Ilyashenko and project coordinator Marina Orekhova have announced the last call for projects to be submitted at Molodist FilmBoat Meeting - a new co-production oriented event whereat young filmmakers will have chance to present their cinema project at the attention of Europe's and the world's leading producers and funds financing cinema production.
Molodist FilmBoat Meeting is aimed primarily at filmmakers from Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Moldova, Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kirgizstan, Tajikistan, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, but also from Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Turkey, as well as other countries - if the project is related with the mentioned territories or if the project is submitted by Molodist winners/participants. Deadline for projects submission is August 15 thus making this month the busiest not only for the program department.
"Over the last years Molodist has grown into much more than Ukraine's biggest cinema and cultural event, but into a major film festival of Central and Eastern Europe and one of the main forums for student and debut films in the world. - says Maksim Ilyashenko, - We are happy and proud to follow and develop our mission (Molodist means "youth" in Ukrainian and has initially started as gathering of cinema students) and that beginning from this year young filmmakers will have opportunity to present and eventually realize their projects with help of Molodist FilmBoat Meeting"
First Molodist FilmBoat Meeting will be held within 38th Kyiv IFF Molodist (October 18-26, 2008).

Present your idea at Molodist FilmBoat Meeting
For the first time the work of the Festival will include “Molodist FilmBoat Meeting” – special competition of co-productions whereat young cinematographers from Ukraine and neighboring countries will have possibility to present their film projects at the attention of the most influential European producers and funds that finance cinema production.
Requirements
Territories:
1. CIS and Baltic states: Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Moldova, Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kirgizstan, Tajikistan, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania
2. Some neighboring countries: Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Turkey
3. Other countries should there projects be related with mentioned territories
4. Other countries in case the projects are submitted by winners or participants of Molodist
Types: Full features and short films, fiction, animation, documentary and television films
Projects are to be suitable for international co-production.
Priority will be given to:
1. Projects that already have producer
2. Original projects
3. Projects with regional peculiarities that have big potential for realization
4. Projects with scripts ready (though to apply a synopsis is enough)
5. Projects with local financing of at least 30%
6. Projects presented by winners or participants of Molodist
