Throughout history, American film has raised the bar in a broad spectrum of elements, including technology, performance, style, innovation and experimentation. While filmmakers all across the globe continue to stun audiences with incredible cinematic masterpieces, our primary focus is on American-made works. From the backyard to the backlot, this country has harvested some of the most talented visionaries and storytellers known to man. ACEFEST (formerly known as "ACE Film Festival") is an annual celebration of these artists of the past, present and future.

By providing a nurturing forum for domestic film and video, we magnify the focus on this country's creative voice. There is no better time than now for Americans to express themselves and communicate, through their art, on an international level. ACEFEST sets out to embrace those who share their thoughts, dreams, opinions, fears and ideas through the eye of the lens.

Now in its third year, ACEFEST has caught the attention of countless filmmakers, artists, publications, companies and supporters. The annual celebration in New York City is considered to be one of the most anticipated events on the industry calendar, bringing together not only people from all over the United States, but all corners of the globe as well.

ACE Film Festival 2008 (New York City) Announces Line-Up

 
Come celebrate the American Cinematic Experience with 4 days of independent film in the heart of Manhattan!

After sifting through over 850 entries from across the country, New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) proudly presents the 2008 ACE Film Festival program. The event is set to take place September 4-7 in the main theater of New World Stages located at 340 West 50th Street - just steps from Times Square.

The 2008 ACE Film Festival program line-up includes 40 films total with 4 World Premieres, 10 East Coast Premieres and 12 New York City Premieres in the mix.

Integrated into the regular programming of the 2008 ACE Film Festival are five selections from the extensive NYFA library. Each film acts as a testament to the endless possibilities of NYFA's Fiscal Sponsorship Program.
 
This year's film festival is proof that you don't have to break the bank for quality entertainment in New York City. ACE Fest tickets are only $10.00 per screening (plus applicable handling and facility fees, of course). A single ticket will grant you access to either one feature-length film or a block of 3-5 short films. Alternatively, patrons can save on handling fees by going to the New World Stages Box Office and purchasing tickets in person. 4-Day All Access Passes are also available at just $150.00 - nearly a 70% total discount.
