About APFF

Welcome to the official website of the Atlanta Philosophy Film Festival. After successfully wrapping the 2009 festival, we are excitedly working towards planning and staging next year's event, which includes finding powerful and intriguing Philosophy Films.

In the meantime, please take some time to read about the festival and its co-creators, a description of the festival mission, and details about the 2009 event at the Plaza Theatre in Atlanta, GA.

Our philosophy festival is geared not only to film and philosophy enthusiasts, but also to anyone who has the ability to envision the visual arts as a viable medium for philosophical exploration and discussion. The 2009 premiere included 14 amazing, diverse short films, and we are excited to expand and improve in 2010 starting with our film submissions.

As one of the few film festivals in the United States with no entry fees for filmmakers, we are proud to announce we will now be accepting submissions of feature films, as well as short films. See our submissions page for more details.
