About chrisgore Film Threat began as a college fanzine founded by Chris Gore in Detroit in 1985. As the magazine evolved into a respected national publication, Gore relocated to Los Angeles in 1989. The magazine received national attention for its coverage of cult films, midnight movies and underground shorts before the market even emerged.
