On the Festival circuit Maremetraggio festival will bring in Podgorica (Montenegro), from 8th to 10th november, a selection of italian films and shortsThe Embassy of Italy, together with Friuli Venezia Giulia Region and the Ministry of Culture of Montenegro announce a three days Italian cinema event in Podgorica. Podgorica (Montenegro) will be the site of a three days Italian cinema event. From 8th to 10th november Podgorica will host a number of contemporary Italian movies which will be accompanied by open meetings with actors and directors, as well as conferences and food tastings to make Montenegro's public know the beauty of the territory and the arts of Friuli Venezia Giulia area. Successful movies shot in Friuli Venezia Giulia include "La Ragazza del Lago", by Andrea Molaioli (shot in Carnia area) and "Amore, bugie e calcetto" by Luca Lucini (entirely shot in Trieste). The programme also includes other acclaimed Italian movies, including "Tris di donne e abiti nuziali", by Vincenzo Terracciano, a work that comes directly from the 66th Venice Film Festival. The event will also include a number of Italian short movies, as to provide the Montenegrin public with a more complete picture of Italy's contemporary high quality cinema production. In Podgorica will arrive some of the protagonists of these films, actors and directors who will explain all about their movies. The program schedule is as follows:
8th november: 7.15 p.m. Screening of two Italian movies
9th november: 3.30 p.m. 1 hour screening of Italian short movies 5.00 p.m. press conference with the protagonists of Italian movies that will be screened in Podgorica. Soon after there will be a press conference to introduce Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, followed by tasting of tipical food products of Friuli Venezia Giulia. 7.15 p.m. Screening of two movies, presented by their protagonists.
9th november: In the morning there will be a meeting with documentary maker from Montenegro and the Italian documentary director Franco Brogi Taviani, followed by the screening of their two last works and of the last Italian movie in program.
