The Ischia Film Festival and the APE award MarcForster’s film

[Ischia,July 19th 2009] The Ischia Film Festival awards “007 Quantum of Solace”,directed by Marc Forster and the 22nd chapter of the film saga dedicatedto James Bond’s adventures .

TheForeign Award 2009 is assigned every year to the international movieproductions that selected Italy as the location for their shooting . Since thisyear it will be assigned with the APE – Executive Producers Association – thatembraced its philosophy and purposes with enthusiasm.

“Quantumof Solace” was filmed between summer 2007 and spring 2008 and it has Siena ,Talamone, the marble’s mines of Carrara and Garda’s lake as locations .

EspeciallySiena, with his traditional horse race, is the background for the memorablesequence of the opening movie: a glance that extraordinarily catches and shows tothe world one of the most precious symbols of the Italian traditional culture.

Inall the Italian locations selected for the shots, tourist and commercialoperators have been involved to develop complementary initiatives for theterritorial promotion by using synergies with the movie. These motivationsurged Michelangelo Messina, Ischia Film Festival’s artistic director, and theAPE’s members to award this movie that weaved perfectly the link between cinemaand territory .

Theaward will be given to the winner by Guido Cerasuolo, the movie’s executive producer and a APE’s partner ,during the final ceremony of the Festival that will take place in Ischia the July11th 2009 .

In the past editions, the Foreign Award has beenassigned to “The Passion” by Mel Gibson, “007 Casinò Royale” by Martin Campbell,“The life aquatic of Steve Zissou” by Wes Anderson, and “Angels and Demons” by RonHoward.
