raindance's blogThe 16th Raindance Film Festival opened for submissions on 1st January and we've never had so many pilling up in the office. Raindance showcases features and shorts made by independent filmmakers from all around the world to an audience of film fans, journalists, acquisition executives, actors, producers and directors. Each year we receive thousands of film submissions of just about every genre you can imagine from very talented filmmakers so it’s safe to assume that the competition is fierce. If you think your film has what it takes to make Raindance ’08 then submit your film before the 20th June 2008. 15th Raindance Film FestivalThe 15th Raindance Film Festival Now Open For Submissions
Raindance, the UK’s largest independent film festival, is now accepting submissions for its fifteenth anniversary edition. We are accepting shorts and features of all genres from anywhere in the world.
The festival dates have been set for 26th September to 7th October 2007 and we will be accepting your submissions until 1st June. To save on submission fees, submit your film before 1st May.

Now in our 16th year, Raindance has hosted such guests and filmmakers as Christopher Nolan (Memento, Batman Begins), Shane Meadows (Dead Man’s Shoes, This Is England), Ken Loach (Kes, Ae Fond Kiss), Marky Ramone (The Ramones), Iggy Pop, Andrea Arnold (Red Road), Quentin Tarantino, and Lou Reed.
