Gilles Jacob, President of the Festival de Cannes, has appointed Catherine Démier as General Manager of the Festival de Cannes. She will replace Véronique Cayla who became General Manager of the Centre National de la Cinématographie in June of this year.
Catherine Démier, former manager of the CNC and advisor in film and audiovisual matters to the Ministère de la Culture, is currently General Secretary of the Cour des comptes. She will take up her position for the Festival on October 10th 2005.
