Festival Director of Stockholm International Film Festival that has been in a leading position since the start, 19 years ago. Stockholm International Film festival is one of the leading competitive film festivals in Europe that takes place every year in November.

Git Scheynius received the International Director Award for her work with Stockholm International Film Festival at the International Film Festival Summit in Las Vegas in 2007. The festival has a reputation for recognizing the future, in 2007 the festival focused on online activities and took another step into the fast web based film production and created films together with young talented directors and the audience online. The festival distributes festival films on VOD and was one of the first film festivals in the world to add an online channel. Stockholm International Film Festival also made history in 2006 as the first festival in the world to create a competitive section for films made in and for cell phones; Mobile Movies.
